It All Began in East London

Boulevard Events is a second-generation family business. It started as a restaurant in 1988, founded by Madeline Crouch and Steven Maher. We gradually switched to event catering, moving to our beloved Hackney HQ in 2000, where we’ve been ever since.

Dan took over the business from his parents 20 years ago, and he now manages our growing, happy and passionate team.

A Note from Dan, Our Director

Born and raised in East London, my life revolved around my parents’ restaurant, Boulevard. Founded in the late eighties, it was the first restaurant in Victoria Park Village. As one of a kind, it became a lively but intimate meeting place for friends, local producers and food lovers.

Living above the restaurant, I have vivid memories of mouthwatering food smells drifting up through the floorboards and raucous, laughter-filled conversations long into the night.

Those feelings of community, authenticity and locally sourced food have stayed with me. We now recreate those memories in our kitchens, but on a larger scale, in incredible venues across London and Essex.

Whether catering for thousands at corporate events or providing bespoke food experiences for a smaller crowd, we approach every occasion with the same love and attention.

Giving Back to Our Community

Eliminating Food Poverty

The charity Streets Kitchen uses our kitchen facilities for free two nights a week to prepare meals for socially disadvantaged people in our East London community. We give them excess ingredients so they can produce healthy, sustaining meals without compromising on quality.

Tackling Hunger in Schools

We work with Magic Breakfast, a charity that provides a nutritional breakfast for children living under the poverty line, and it costs as little as 34p per day to feed one child. Their goal, and ours with the support of our clients, is to ensure no child goes to school hungry. We match fund every donation our clients make, meaning we feed two children for every guest at your event.
